About Me

Hi I'm Dan, I'm a freelance, professional drummer and drum tutor.

I am a highly driven and enthusiastic musician.

I have studied drums and percussion for 19 years and have a professional standard of playing and performing.

I am very versatile; I am highly skilled at playing to a click; I have a well-rounded knowledge of musical genres and play in a variety of styles.

I can provide electronic drums and samples when required and am skilled at using Ableton Live/Logic to customise backing tracks. 

As a musician, I have gained a wealth of experience working with a diverse range of bands, supporting well-known artists such as Muse, Kool and the Gang and The Hold Steady. 

I have toured extensively and played festivals in the UK, Europe and USA, also recording at studios such as BBC Maida Vale Studios, London.

I am currently hired by one of the UK’s largest function band agencies that cater for private gigs, weddings and corporate events. In addition to the drums, I perform and write backing vocals and enjoy collaborating in the process of song writing.

I love playing music and strive to meet new musicians whilst having fun along the way.

Sonor Prolite (Ebony White Stripes) Studio 1 configuration, which includes: 20" x 17.5" Bass Drum, 14"x14" floor Tom, 12" x 09" rack tom, 10" x 08" rack tom

Gretsch drum kit with 22" bass drum, 10", 12" rack toms and 14" floor tom.

Mapex 14" Black Panther battered brass snare drum or custom 14" x 6.5 maple snare built at Tiki Drums.

Various selection of Zildjian and Meinl cymbals.

Roland SPD-SX sampling pad and Roland KD7 kick trigger unit.
